Why exactly should anybody learn french?

One of the main reasons is that it's fun. Another reason is that french is spoken almost evrywhere you go. From Quebec to Haiti, people speak french. Wouldn't it be nice to know just exactly what it is they're saying? And lets face it. Many of us English -speaking Americans probably have relatives or or ancestors who where French. French class helps you get in touch with your roots. Besides, wouldn't it be neat to know what people from overseas are doing? Or rather, how they do things, like what do French teens do for fun, and how they greet one another. I think that would be good to know, just in case you meet someone from France. That's why taking french is a good idea if you're interested in any of this.
